We are excited to share that our Women in Fish and Chips (WiFC) webinar will take place on June 19th under the theme 'Building Personal and Business Resilience.'
After working collaboratively with shop owners on the theme, the webinar will offers tips on how fish and chip shop owners and managers can stay both mentally and financially fit.
We rebranded the name "Women in Fish and Chips... and Friends" in support of diversifying menus, welcoming a broader range of takeaways – so everyone's invited, whoop!
A variety of sessions will take place in the morning, covering topics such as financial management, energy conservation, and me
nu innovation. In the afternoon, sessions will shift from business to personal resilience, focusing on individual and team wellbeing.
York-based Wetherby Whaler Director, Caroline Murphy said, "Wellbeing is one of the most important topics in our sector right now. Connecting like-minded people to share experiences and stories, in a safe and friendly environment, is a great way to support each other."
Among the early confirmed speakers is Calum Richardson, owner of Bay Fish and Chips, who has just launched Forked Up, offering coaching and training for hospitality workers.
Covering business resilience, Kaylee Herbert, Director of Dorset-based Harlees, will explain how her award-winning operation is positioning itself for continued growth.
Putting Wellbeing at the Heart of your Business
There are simple steps every business can take to support mental health at work, according to guest speaker Amanda Casey, Health and Safety Manager at J W Filshill, who has helped her businesses to put workforce wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.
Elit Rowland, Head of Communications at JJ Foodservice, and WiFC organiser, said: “As a national food supplier to the restaurant and takeaway sector, we are delighted to be able to support shops to nework, share and keep important conversations going.”
